On the 2nd February we went to see the WW1 monument in front of the Royal College in Curepipe. There is a French soldier a “Poilu” and a British soldier a “Tommy”. We saw the names of the soldiers who died.
On the monument, there is also the Coat of Arms of Mauritius. It’s written ¨The Star and Key of the Indian Ocean¨.
